Why is it surplus?

Understanding where our clothes come from.

Sometimes great clothes simply don’t make it to the shop floor. A change in the season, a colour that doesn’t quite fit a collection, overproduction or sizing that isn’t quite consistent with a brand’s usual range can all mean perfectly wearable pieces become surplus.

You may also spot cut-label items, where the original brand label has been removed. Because surplus stock can come from different batches, sizing can occasionally vary too, so we always recommend checking the measurements on each item before you buy.

Better for the planet

Keeping quality clothing in circulation and out of landfill.

We believe great clothes are made to be worn, not left sitting in warehouses or sent to landfill simply because they weren't needed by their original retailer.

That's where D’BRANDED comes in. We give quality, unworn surplus clothing a new lease of life, helping keep perfectly good pieces in circulation for longer.

And because we source surplus stock, we're able to offer quality clothing at prices that are kinder to your wallet, too. Good for your wardrobe, good for your purse and a little better for the planet.

Made to be worn

Brand-new pieces, ready to find their place in your wardrobe.

Every piece we sell was made to be worn. It might not have found its place in a brand's original collection, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't find its way into your wardrobe.

We love giving these pieces a second chance - whether that's a colour that didn't quite make the cut, a slightly different fit or a label that has been removed. Different doesn't mean less good. It just means there's an opportunity for you to discover something great, for less.

Not every piece finds its place on the shop floor. We give brand-new clothing another chance to be worn, loved and kept out of landfill.

Our Story

Hi, I’m Thea! I’m a History student at university in York, but Cornwall will always be home. Growing up surrounded by Cornwall’s beautiful beaches, countryside and coastline has given me a real appreciation for the world around us and the importance of looking after it.

I created D’BRANDED from a simple belief: great clothes deserve to be worn, not wasted.

So much perfectly good, brand-new clothing gets overlooked by retailers, whether it’s surplus stock, previous-season collections or items with removed labels. I wanted to give these clothes somewhere to go, rather than see them potentially end up as waste.

As a student, I also know how expensive everyday life can be. Between rent, food and bills, there isn’t always much left over for the things you actually want. I wanted to make great-quality, brand-new clothing more affordable, without the big price tags.

For me, D’BRANDED brings together two things I really care about: making better use of clothing that already exists and helping people find great clothes at prices they can actually afford.

I’m not claiming that buying clothes will change the world, but I do believe that small, thoughtful choices can make a difference. If D’BRANDED can help keep perfectly good clothing in use while making great finds more accessible, then that’s something I’m really proud of.

Big brands. Small prices. Less waste.

What is meant by a cut label or surplus product?

At D’BRANDED, we give brand-new clothing a second chance at a better price!

Cut label: An item originally made for a high-street brand or retailer, where the original brand label has been removed or cut. This doesn't mean the item is damaged or second-hand.

Surplus stock: Brand-new clothing left over from previous collections, cancelled orders or excess retailer stock.

All our products are brand new, never second-hand. Some items retain their original brand labels and swing tickets, while others have had them removed.

It's all about bringing you great clothing at a fraction of the original price, while helping reduce unnecessary fashion waste.
